As Europe and the common market of the EU has expanded, so Virtual Viewing has expanded with it. In summer 2005, the company opened a new European Office in Bratislava, the historic capital of Slovakia.
While the perception of e-business is that the Internet breaks down international boundaries, the reality is more complex as companies seek developers and suppliers that operate within their own regions and cultures.
By opening a European outlet, Virtual Viewing can work in tandem with organisations that are looking to ‘think globally, and act locally’. As well as the cost-effectiveness offered by a Central European location, our Slovakian office also brings true multi-lingual capabilities into the company’s portfolio of talents, adding further to competitiveness.
Since 2005, we have worked to forge stronger working links across Europe, and are working with clients in many of the countries that have recently joined the EU. We are also working with educational institutions to identify, grow and nurture the next generation of talented solution designers and developers. Indeed, this is just one of the activities that has helped us to develop an offshore recruitment service.
Slovakia’s membership of the EU brings many benefits – mobility of labour, openness of markets, minimisation of ‘red tape’ and the protection of EU law. It also enables us to remain highly competitive to our UK customers – a benefit we feel is well worth passing on. |
