A colourful approach
The 360 Play facilities are a riot of colour, with an enormous musical carousel, activity walls, dodgem tracks and more. Virtual Viewing’s web site design has reflected the bright, fun branding and presentation in the site design: the web pages are vivid and vibrant and make strong use of two ‘characters’ – Twizzle and Twink – who are a strong feature of 360 Play’s children’s activities.
Despite this apparent visual playfulness, the site gives 360 Play complete content administration. All web pages – News, Events, Classes, Party details, a Gallery of photographs and more – can all be updated by staff in real time, allowing the latest updates to be live on the web in just minutes.
Communicating internally
As well as keeping the world up to date, the 360 Play website also includes a Staff Area so that staff can communicate with each other. The content management facilities for the site allow three levels of site user, so that control of the main web site content, updating contents of the Staff Area and password controlled access to the Staff Area can all be assigned separately to different users.
By incorporating an ‘intranet’ facility in this way, all staff can use a single facility to view shift rotas and to access a wide range of manuals, guides and handbooks. The Staff Area administrator can also update pages that detail an Employee of the Week.
Having managed the website project to a successful launch, Virtual Viewing is now working with 360 Play to build on this initial achievement. Work is now underway to extend the website facilities to include an email newsletter facility, with integration with 360 Play’s back office systems. |
