14/01/2008 Virtual Viewing wins contract for on-screen presentation for Her Majesty The Queen’s visit to Milton Keynes

In November 2007 Her Majesty The Queen visited Milton Keynes. As part of the day The Queen visited the Stadium:
MK and took part in the official opening ceremony. Artistic Director, Michael Birch, used two giant screens at either end of the stadium to direct and inform the 20,000 strong crowd on what was happening and when - No mean feat with over 8,000 school children involved! This called for a tightly choreographed on-screen presentation for which Virtual Viewing won the contract to create.
Part of this presentation was the first public showing of time-lapse video of the Stadium:
MK being built. This video was nearly 2 years in the making and showed the stadium build from beginning to end in less than 50 seconds.
“The whole presentation worked really well”, said Executive Producer, Gavin Anderson, the man charged with coordinating the whole visit on behalf of Milton Keynes Council. “However, the time-lapse video was the jewel in the crown - Simply stunning. You could hear the excitement as the crowd watched the stadium being built in front of their eyes. Well done to Virtual Viewing.”
You can see a web friendly version (small file size) of the time lapse video in
