NLA and Virtual Viewing
In 2024 Virtual Viewing and NLA, the membership body for London’s built environment sector, formed a partnership to bring AR (Augmented Reality) to the physical London model in The London Centre. This amazing breakthrough in technology makes the physical model a hot bed of interactive content. London Boroughs, BIDs (Business Improvement Districts), development sites and even the GLA (Greater London Authority) all have digital showcases featured in the app. This means visitors to the NLA at The London Centre can learn more from the physical model. Developers, boroughs and BIDs can use the app to promote their sites and inward investment opportunities. Alongside its year-round appearance at the NLA, the London Model makes an annual pilgrimage to Cannes, France for the international property conference, MIPIM.
The model will be centre stage on the London Stand @ MIPIM with the app supporting international visitors across the week-long event.
In 2024 Stewart Bailey, Virtual Viewing MD, also joined the NLA Expert Panel for Built Environment Technology, bringing his considerable industry knowledge into NLA's thought-leadership programme.
“We’re delighted to partner with Virtual Viewing. The way they’ve brought the physical model to life is really impressive, it adds a whole new dimension. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the technology progress”
— Nick McKeogh, CEO, NLA
“I’m really proud of the partnership we have with NLA. They are such a progressive organisation, really driving the Built Environment agenda in a way that the industry needs. It’s great to be a part of their delivery team. The thought-leadership commitment is important for me personally – the industry has been very good to me and it’s good to give something back”.
